SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY

Circulair design strategy based on HEMA's new strategy. This circulair way of thinking was implemented throughout the organization and also the base for the 'doe duurzaam mee' campaign.

At HEMA, we design most of our products ourselves, which helps us ensure they are practical, high-quality, and better for the environment.

Our focus is on making products that last longer by using durable, sustainable materials and testing them thoroughly. For example, our rechargeable (bicycle) lights are designed to reduce waste and be easy to use, while our baby bodysuit grows one size with your baby (de meegroeiromper).

By thinking about the entire lifecycle of a product, from the materials we use to how it’s used and eventually disposed of, we aim to create products that are better for our customers and the planet.
